Emergency health services management
In this project we developed statistical models for emergency calls and optimization models for the optimal allocation of ambulances to emergency calls. We also developed the website accessible via the link below to
- visualize historical data of emergency calls for the emergency health services of our data base;
- visualize forecast emergency calls scenarios and the distribution of emergency calls;
- compute response times with several allocation strategies of ambulances to emergency calls;
- simulate on a map the allocation of ambulances to emergency calls using several allocation strategies and simualted calls.
View ProjectVisualization and forecast tools for blook banks
This project started with a collaboration with Rio de Janeiro Hemorio blood bank which provided us with historical data of blood offer in their blood bank. We developped a webpage (accessible via the link below) for the visualization of historical data and of forecast scenarios for blood offer. It is also possible to upload new historical data of other blook banks to visualize this data as well as the corresponding forecast scenarios. Models specially adapted to blood offer bags counting were developped in this project, taking into account seasonal patterns and several regressors such as holidays or donation campagins which can be informed to the model to generate forecast scenarios. If the project webpage is enriched by new blook bank data, it could serve as a repository to test models for such data and compare with the models we developped but it could also be used to access easily online historical data and forecast of blood offer in blood banks for a given region, or country (depending on the data collected). It would be interesting to extend the project considering historical data of blood demand (say in hospitals) where similar visualization and forecast tools and models could be used.
